Short Bio

Professor Mohammad A Momen is a tenured Professor and the present Director of IBA, University of Dhaka. Professor Momen obtained his MBA from Drake University, USA and has been teaching at the University since 1984. Besides teaching for more than 35 years, Professor Momen has extensive experience in the apparel industry from formulating strategy to production, marketing and distribution of products. He has also been serving at different high-level committees and boards both in public sector and private sector. He has also served as the Director of BGMEA, one of the largest trade bodies of the country. As director of BGMEA, he has been responsible to promote and facilitate the apparel industry globally through policy advocacy and negotiations with different stakeholders.

Competitiveness in the Apparel Industry, Global Value Chain and Sustainability in the Apparel Industry, Recycling and circularity in the apparel industry.

Research Grants and Awards

Received World Bank funded BMET Project Scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in the United States.
