Mr. Reefat Zaman Shourov is an academician, researcher, and trainer in the field of Finance, Accounting and Banking. Before joining the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka as a lecturer, Mr. Reefat served as a Faculty Member at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) for more than 4 years. Prior to joining academia, he gained corporate experience in FMCG and Investment Banking industries. Mr. Reefat is known for training skills among the Banking and Non-Banking Financial Institution professionals. His training areas are Capital Market, Fundamental & Technical Analysis, Risk Management, Treasury Operations, Credit Management, Asset-Liability Management, Financial and Business Analysis, Business Strategy, Audit & Internal Control, Taxation, Corporate Finance, Personal Finance, Financial Projection, and Derivative Instruments. He conducted numerous training programs specially designed to develop knowledge and to build skills and abilities for mid and senior level managers of different Private & Foreign Commercial Banks. Mr. Reefat completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Being the valedictorian, he received Gold Medal from the institute as an accolade to his academic excellence. Prior to that, he did his BBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka, securing merit position 2nd in his batch. He was a recipient of Dean’s Honor Award for his academic brilliance as well. His name has also been mentioned in the Dean’s Merit List (2 times) and in the IBA Director List. Mr. Reefat is also a CA final level candidate under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). While doing his course in chartered accountancy, he obtained vast practical knowledge and exposure in the field of Accounting, Finance, Audit, Internal Control, Taxation, Corporate Advisory and Consultancy.
